Hubling Playschool Program

Ages 6 months– 3 years old are welcome, with developmentally appropriate activities for all.

Each Hubling Playschool visit is up to 2 hours. Due to licensing limitations, we cannot exceed this timeframe..

Each day is thoughtfully structured to balance play and learning:

1. Free Play & Exploration – Children begin with hands-on, Montessori-inspired play including sensory bins, blocks, and books.

2. Gross Motor Time – Next, we move to the Flex Room for physical development activities like obstacle courses, yoga, or dance parties.

3. Creative Arts – Children transition into the Art Room for a themed craft tied to the weekly lesson.

4. Quiet Time – We end each session with calming activities and wind-down time in the classroom.

We understand this may be your child’s first time away from a parent. We welcome you to stay and help your Hubling acclimate. Our team specializes in gentle transitions and has helped many children successfully adjust. Once your child is settled, we ask that parents exit the classroom to maintain a calm and focused environment for all.

Yes! While no food or drink is permitted inside the classroom, we do have a dedicated snack time during each session. Please pack a nut-free snack and drink for your child to enjoy.

No, our staff does not handle toileting or feeding. If your child needs assistance, a parent or guardian will be contacted immediately to help.

Our curriculum goes far beyond play. The Hubling teacher prepares engaging weekly themes and lesson plans that blend early academics with social-emotional development. Children are immersed in a full school-like experience, helping them gain independence, confidence, and school readiness.

This program is designed as a short-term, educational enrichment experience—not a licensed daycare facility.

As such, Connecticut law requires that a parent or guardian stay on-site during the session. Our model is built around this unique, parent-inclusive structure.

We’ve intentionally created a warm, welcoming environment to make your time here just as enjoyable.

We understand that flexibility is important to families, so we do accept drop-ins as long as space allows. However, we highly recommend reserving your spot in advance using our simple online reservation system. This allows you to secure up to a week of visits ahead of time, guaranteeing your little Hubling has a spot saved just for them.

Yes! We work to make our services affordable for all! Siblings are eligible for a 10% discount.

Parents are welcome to check in anytime. While we don’t have a live video feed, our Parent Lounge is nearby and our staff is happy to provide updates during or after the session. We also occasionally share photos (with permission) to give you a peek into your child’s day.
